DOES DENTAL CLEANING WEAKEN TEETH ?

The answer is "NO". L
et's discuss it in detail in simple words, teeth never get weak by cleaning, either by self or professional cleaning. They only get strong by cleaning, but people usually ignore their dental problems until it is bleeding gums, a very foul smell, decayed teeth or sever pain. By this time the teeth, gums and bone goes beyond the level of repair and regeneration

In case of dirty teeth as the teeth get deposited by calculus (hard calcified food particles /dirt on teeth) the level of gums and bone gets low and with time as the level of dirt/calculus deposited on teeth increases the level of bone and gums decreases but teeth don't move because they are supported by the calculus and destruction of bone and gums increases slowly with time and no symptoms appear to patients and when the symptoms appear its already too late, the patient goes to the dentist and dentist ask for cleaning and after cleaning the tooth starts to move and patients blame that cleaning weakens the teeth, that's an absolutely false statement. Teeth already lost his bone and gum support over years by patient negligence, not by a dental cleaning. If the patient was more aware of his dental hygiene and visited the dentist regularly then he may be able to find this problem before its too late.

In a nutshell, It's the negligence of patients that makes their teeth weak. If you timely visit your dentist for cleaning at an early stage, the problem of teeth becoming mobile can be best avoided.

So the key for healthy teeth is to visit your dentist regularly after every 6 months
